Media SOS

The first thing you have to do is connect your mobile device. This means your iPhone, iPod, iPod touch, iPad, Android phone or tablet, digital camera, or memory card. Once you’re done, you can use Media SOS to copy songs, copy photos, or copy videos from the connected device to your PC. The application automatically detects the media type you choose and copy all the files to the location of your choosing.

The Media SOS installer is 10MB in size. Download it, run it, and a setup wizard will show up and help you install it on your Windows-powered machine. You can install Media SOS on top of several Windows editions: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8.

The first thing you will see on the application’s interface when you launch it is a message to connect a device. You can connect one of the following portable devices: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, other iPod, Android phone, Android tablet, digital camera, memory card.

After that Media SOS will ask what you want it to do for you: copy songs from your device, copy photos, or copy videos. The premise behind this application is that it can be a bit of a bother to transfer media files from your mobile device to your PC. So Media SOS automatically detects media files and quickly transfers them to your PC. You won’t have to scour your mobile and find photos and you won’t have to worry about duplicates.

Say you choose to copy photos from your mobile to your PC. Media SOS will ask you if you want to copy all the images stored on your mobile or if you want to pick and choose which photos to copy. Then it will ask you if you want the pictures to be saved to My Pictures or if you want to pick another folder for saving the pictures.

Please note that the trial version will not copy more than 10 items at a time. So if there are 11 pictures on your mobile, the trial will only copy 10 pictures.
